  • Overview

    Responsible for financial forecasts down to the sku level for rebuy skus of a designated merchandise category.  Financially accountable for category sales, inventory, receipt and margin forecasts performance against plan.  Partner with Merchandise Planner of category to determine strategic plan of rebuys based on SKU trends, POD insight and other indicators of risk and opportunity.   

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Utilize appropriate systems and tools to generate an accurate demand forecast at a sku level that will forecast and influence sales, inventory, buy plans, flow plans and projected margin. 
    • Responsible for financial plan and forecasts for rebuy skus of designated category for sales, receipts, inventory and margin.  Partner with Merchandise Planner to ensure alignment with overall merchandise category strategic plan.   
    • Work closely with allocation to ensure alignment in sku inventory forecasts and allocation execution. 
    • Collaborate with POD's to solicit and incorporate related information into the SKU forecast to imporve accuracy of projections.  
    • Identify and action sales opportunities and risks. Partner cross-functionally with merchandise planner, buyer, allocator and sourcing to take necessary actions.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelors Degree Required
    • 1+ year experience in a corporate retail merchandising
    • Analytical experience, understanding of retail math, problem solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and have aptitude to learn technical applications quickly.
    • Strong communication and organization skills.
    • Strong team work skills to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners.
