  • Overview

    Our Enterprise Systems Administrator II works closely with other Infrastructure and Developer teams to architect and implement solutions that meet business requirements. They will participate in technical research, development and assessment of new technologies to enable continuous improvements in the server environment by developing policy, standards, disaster recovery and contingency plans for all critical business systems, while utilizing DevOps methodology to automate system configuration, application development and deployment. This administrator will be the primary support for key infrastructure systems: PXI, Active Directory, Exchange, Group Policies, Clusters, VMware, IIS, Microsoft System Center Suite, Hyper-V, ADFS, DFS, and will act as a mentor and escalation point for junior team members.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Architect and implement highly available, redundant systems that meet all specified project/business SLAs.
    • Participate in technical research, development and assessment of new technologies.
    • Create and maintain system and application documentation.
    • Evaluate systems for capacity and growth.
    • Develop new processes for system automation and deployment.
    • Monitor applications for performance and resiliency
    • Primary support contact for key system infrastructure.
    • Escalation point for junior team members
    • Provide mentorship and training to junior team members.
    • On-call rotation - provide 24x7 support for all Windows infrastructure and supporting hardware.

    Education & Experience

    • 5-10 years prior similar experience needed
    • Bachelor Degree preferred
    • MCSE certification preferred
    • In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems and Dell hardware
    • Strong knowledge of PXI, Active Directory, IP networking, SAN, Exchange, Group Policies, Clusters, VMware, IIS, Microsoft System Center Suite, Hyper-V, ADFS, and DFS
    • Advanced PowerShell scripting knowledge
    • Must be able to work nights and weekends during maintenance and on-call. This position is on-call 24/7 periodically throughout the year.
    • Must be able to lift equipment up to 50+ pounds such as server chassis during installation procedures.
