  • Overview

    The Demand Planner is responsible for the financial forecasts down to the sku level for rebuys of a designated merchandise category. You'll partner with the Merchandise Planners to determine the strategic plan of rebuys, provide insights, and leverage those insights to improve the forecast accuracy.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Have a holistic understanding of demand drivers – price elasticity, marketing exposure, channel demand – and leverage that knowledge to improve rebuy forecast accuracy. Communicate regularly with buyer and planner on future promotions and marketing features to ensure item forecasts are accurate. Serve as subject matter expert for item planning tool (SLP - SKU Level Planning). Provide buyers and planners with rebuy forecast rollups to facilitate the development of future assortments and buy plans.
    • Responsible for financial plan and forecasts for rebuy skus of designated category for sales, receipts, inventory and margin. Partner with Merchandise Planner to ensure alignment with overall merchandise category strategic plan.
    • Partner with allocator on a monthly basis to review rebuy inventory and ensure DC and Store in-stocks are achieving targets. Identify the root cause of in-stock issues and address item forecasts appropriately.
    • Facilitate weekly meetings with manager and PODs on rebuy sales performance to LY and Forecast.
    • Partner cross functionally with merchandise planner, buyer, allocator, sourcing, logistics, and strategic vendors. Provide with sourcing with a rolling 12 month forecast of rebuy assortment to ensure better cost negotiations. Partner with key vendors on production planning as it relates to MOQs across multiple items, ensuring rebuy orders will maximized vendor production while improving supply chain costs. Partner with logistic sand vendors to manage containerization of rebuy orders.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelors Degree Required
    • 3+ years experience including corporate retail allocations or item forecasting 
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
