The Marketing Operations Manager will with work all business partners to engineer the processes need to execute all marketing initiatives throughout all marketing channels. This position provides key operational creation and management of Pier 1's marketing procedures. Manages and oversees all cross-functional projects for the marketing department in a timely and effective manner. Must have the ability to manage through diplomacy with a strong customer service attitude. Provides objective and consistent feedback to business partners and management. Inspires collaboration and gains buy-in across departments. Responsible for the accuracy and quality of all configurations in Workfront, Pier 1's project management platform. Coordinates and communicates pertinent information to team members, schedules jobs and monitors tasks. Will work closely with business partners throughout the building including but not limited to Marketing Operations, Brand Loyalty and Strategy, Creative, E-commerce, Digital Marketing, Visual Merchandising, HR, Store Operations and Legal.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Configures Workfront objects which include creating custom forms, project templates, programs, reports, dashboards, approval processes, milestones, email notifications, statuses, job roles, teams, groups, layout templates, filters, and views.
  • Performs daily system administration duties and activities for Workfront and supports Workfront technical issues and solutions throughout the organization.  Responsible for archiving and maintaining records as required by Pier 1 policies.
  •  Successfully assess, decipher and create operational processes that lead to major improvements in how the organization operates and ultimately executes.
  • Interacts directly with all Workfront users providing a high level of customer service and creative thinking to work and task management challenges within the organization.
  • Be the central point of contact and communicate updates and changes to the appropriate teams in an affective and timely manner and act as point of escalation for all teams when time lines are not being met or need adjustment.
  • Facilitate training of Workfront and on-boarding for new hires, create and distribute training on the new configurations, updates and changes within the system, provide ongoing best practice guidance across teams using Workfront, and work with management to coach behavior and change management throughout teams.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree Preferred 
  • 3+ years of Workfront administration / project management
  • Experience with interactive design and production process
  • Knowledge of archival systems for images and project files; Knowledge of pre-press and print production processes; Knowledge of best practices for online file sizes and formats, jpeg, html, sfx and wmv.
  • Proficiency in both PC and MAC environments is required
  • Able to work independently with limited direction; Strong problem-solving skills and approach; Strong attention to detail, sense of organization, logic and analytical skills are required
