Due to a recent promotion, we are looking for a Site Merchandiser to join our growing Ecommerce team!  The Site Merchandise is responsible for the day-to-day management, merchandising and revenue growth of with an emphasis on site productivity, sales growth and conversion. A primary focus of this role is the optimization of the online merchandising strategy to ensure that the right product is in the right place and at the right time. The Site Merchandiser partners with the merchandising, marketing, inventory management, logistics, and operations teams in the planning of weekly and monthly product placements and product stories. 

Duties & Responsibilities

What You'll Do: 

  • Develop and oversee the online merchandising and related item strategies to drive sales, conversion rate and overall profitability for the site. Utilize relevant reporting and analysis to communicate online business trends and SKU level performance. Conduct regular competitive analysis to identify best practices and recommend action steps. Communicate with partners regarding opportunities for online categories. 
  • Effectively merchandise products within the product category structure in an effort to influence conversion rate and sales, while balancing with marketing initiatives and brand focus. Utilize all available data points (consumer demand, product inventory, product margin, shipping damage rates, etc) in an effort to drive profitability for the ecommerce channel. This will include upselling, cross selling, catalog structure management, and creation of product specific landing pages. 
  • Effectively partner with SEO team to positively effect conversion rate and sales through search results. Review customer search behavior within to gain an understanding of keyword queries and manipulate the products within the search results page in a manner that drives overall profitability for the ecommerce channel. 
  • Serve as the ecommerce point person for designated merchandising teams (GMM, DMM, Buyers).  Become an integral member of group with an awareness of all merchandise strategies and plans.  Provide feedback to merchandising teams on learnings and actions to drive revenue.
  • Coordinate with Marketing team to gain a full understanding of all content (email, social, display, search, digital integrations, etc.) potentially driving traffic back to Merchandise landing pages in a manner that supports the various marketing mediums while keeping profitability of the ecommerce channel top of mind. Develop strategic content plans to support the marketing events, as well as the category structure. Partner with site operations to ensure that all skus are on site for event launches. 

Education & Experience

What You'll Need: 

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • 5+ years of experience with a minimum of 3 years online merchandising expereince 
  • High attention to detail, process oriented, strong project management, analytical, problem solving and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, Excel, Omniture, Hitwise.
  • Familiar with Content Management systems (Demandware experience a plus).
