  • Overview

    Due to a recent promotion, we are looking for a Director of Organizational Development to join our HR team!  Reporting to the CHRO, the Director of OD will lead a team of Business Partners for the Home Office and will guide how HR supports our people around leadership and development and be responsible for the full talent lifecycle management.   

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Responsible for developing and implementing a talent management strategy that is aligned with the company roadmap.
    • Develop a credible team of business partners that models coaching principles to their internal business partners and supports managers on instituting a culture of real-time coaching and feedback.
    • Develop and implement companywide, real-time performance feedback process, migrating away from once a year discussion and inclusive of departmental and individual goals and competency evaluation.
    • Provide internal consultation to company leadership and internal customers on leading and facilitating cultural change.
    • Utilize engagement survey data to communicate areas of organizational effectiveness to business partners and support action planning to improve associate engagement, leadership effectiveness, and cultural transformation. 
    • Partner with Compensation team on the development of pay transparency practices and education such that total rewards are effectively linked to competence and goal achievement.
    • Support organizational leaders around the effective use of organizational design best practices such as spans of control, scope of responsibility and decision rights with the overall intention of empowering associates at lower levels in the organization and enabling faster and more nimble decision making.
    • Continue to scale out a viable succession planning process with the long-term objective of maintaining a talent pipeline for critical jobs.
    • Measure the effectiveness of talent development strategies, including individual development planning, emerging talent programs, and cross training initiatives. Report results to organizational stakeholders.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert as it relates to leadership development and competency development training design and delivery.
    • Serves as point of contact for escalated Employee Relations issues

    Education & Experience

    • 7 – 10 years of varied and increasing responsibility related to talent management, organizational development, organizational effectiveness and leadership coaching.

    • Substantial business acumen, with a keen understanding of how business and talent strategy aligns.

    • Proven track record leading a team of internal business partners.

    • Expertise on competency modeling and goal setting that enables organizational success.

    • Ability to model and teach effective coaching and feedback behaviors to leaders.

    • Build relationships with employees at all levels; assure that new recruits integrate effectively into the organization.

    • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (i.e., Business, Industrial Psychology, Human Resources, etc.)
