  • Overview

    The Regional Operations Support Manager enables site leadership to focus on management of site by providing leadership and support from communication, analysis, reporting and project leadership across multiple DCs and e-Commerce sites.  This role will provide leadership for key network productivity improvement initiatives, WMS / WES upgrades and implementation, new DC automation projects, labor management upgrades, various DC optimization initiatives.  This position will be based in one of four locations – Aberdeen, MD, Columbus, OH, Mansfield, TX, or Savannah, GA.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Project Management Leadership / Business Process Design

    • Projects to include WMS / WES system upgrades, DC automation, capital projects, LMS upgrades, slotting and various productivity initiatives
    • Works across sites to determine operational best practices and implement for consistency
    • Identifies key cost drivers and develops/leads the action plans to improve network efficiency
    • Provides leadership of action plans to test operational changes
    • Determines plans, communicates plans/actions, measures results, communicates results and recommends solutions

    Analysis & Reporting

    • Develops standard productivity analysis to show trends supporting multiple sites
    • Develops analysis and reporting tools that enable before/after analysis of process changes in distribution
    • Provide DC teams with standard performance reporting package to facilitate gap analysis review / action planning process
    • Provide ongoing reporting relative to progress on key business initiatives
    • Provide ad hoc performance analysis as dictated by business need.

    Liason

    • Works across the organization and leads high profile projects for logistics: may include managing/directing the work product from other departments.
    • Works cross functionally with DC and eCommerce operations to ensure efficient system wide processes
    • Drives initiatives identified by site leadership with key corporate stakeholders
    • Manage 3rd party relationships with service providers to make improvements in safety, service, quality and cost

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Logistics preferred
    • 5 – 10 years experience
    • Strategic thinker with a broad scope business acumen that includes financials, logistics, operations, and systems.
    • Experience with WMS / WES / LMS systems, and slotting software.
    • Proficient in MS Office including Excel and Access as well as SQL databases required; ability to read/write macros.
    • Knowledge or experience of material handling equipment, MHE installations, and distribution center technology preferred.
    • 30% travel which will primarily be via airline to other Distribution Centers and the Home Office
