  • Overview

    The role of the Database Marketing Analyst is to provide actionable insights and analytics to the CRM and loyalty teams within the Pier 1 Marketing team. Through analysis of complex customer behavioral data, the analyst will support and provide recommendations for the execution of strategic omni-channel marketing campaigns, designed to drive customer growth and retention. 

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Database Marketing Analysis/Reporting:  Design and deliver marketing reporting including providing insight across online and offline marketing channels. Provide ad hoc data queries to support a variety of marketing programs, as well as cross-functional initiatives.  Responsible for analyzing marketing data to drive program deliverables and departmental KPIs. 
    • Database Marketing Campaigns: Assist in the design and execution of a variety of marketing efforts ranging from customer acquisition to customer retention campaigns. Assist in the targeting, segmentation and testing of the campaigns by using past analysis and data mining techniques.
    • Database Management:  Ensure top quality data.  Analyze current data to ensure data integrity for the health and profitability of marketing database and application.  Assist in the development of the new CRM.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelors Degree Required
    • 3+ years of relevant experience
    • Intermediate working knowledge of analytics and statistical modeling as they relate to direct marketing.  Advance skill level with MS Office and data visualization tools. Strong ability to pull business relevancy from data. 
    • Understanding of CRM principals and concepts.  Knowledge of relational databases.
    • Experience utilizing SQL, R, Tableau, Excel, and Alteryx
